Why do thet call it vacation pay?

I work for a company and when we take vacations ,we get our vacation pay after we come back from vacation! I don,t see the sense ,because we need the money when we are on vacation. so My question is Why do they call it vaction pay?

Because you get paid for the days you are on vacation as if you were at work.

Why would you get paid before you go, that would be a draw.

Huh?  You should get your checks just like you always do.  Whethee it is regular pay or vacation pay, your checks should be pretty much the same.
