  1. my last visit to thailand was in 2006 and i  wasnt asked to show any id or passport. must be new law. i wonder if it is for everyone...thai and foreigner?


  2. Its government regulation because they are responsible if you go to a p**n website or anti-Government website. Not like freedom of the press in the US.

    Edit: Yes its for everyone. I live out in the sticks and one place asked and one didn't so it isn't totally enforced.  But at 10pm the place sure quieted down because they had to kick all the kids out.  They have a problem with school kids staying up all night playing video games on the computer and either not showing up for school or sleeping in class.

    Oh the other thing they did was have a guy looking over my shoulder for about 20 minutes.  I don't know if that's part of the deal but it was creeping me out (big brother).

  3. It's a new law just implemented recently.  It's a way to kept track of who using the internet and making sure underage kids are not staying up all night playing games.
