Why do they call Lebron James the KING?

IM Jw what thrown is he on. The king well if he is going to be called that shouldnt he have the Thrown aka NBA Title. and dont say he doesnt have anyone. They have switched up the type of players, he said he wanted shooters thye had 2 good outside shooters coudlnt get it done. IM sick of excuses for the Kid, and when u do win arguements about him all you hear is He is only 23, well either he is only 23 and learning or he is the KIng it cant be both ways, So explain how he is the KING, i really cant stand him looks like another Kobe to me just not as good

King James is a nickname he picked up when he was in high school, it just stuck with him to the NBA. It is just a nick name and I'm sure it doesn't mean anything but I think it fits him great. He pretty much is king of the state of Ohio. Everyone there loves him and worships him. Plus he gets the most all-star votes out of anyone, even Kobe, everyone just loves him and he is the GREATEST. A lot of players have nicknames though like:

"Boobie" Gibson (Daniel Gibson)

"The Big Cactus", The Big Diesel", "Shaq Daddy"

"The Black Mamba" (Kobe Bryant)

"The Truth" (Paul Peirce)

"The Answer" (A.I)

"Mr. Big Shot" (Chauncy Billups)

"Air Jordan"

cuz his last name is James. like the King that re worded the Bible to his own liking King James. that is why that Bible is called the King James version. Lebron was King of the court in high school. best in the nation n most hyped ever so it was given n stuck to him.

Because there was king named King James and his last name is James too and because of his skill as a player someone tagged him with this.  He is a great player with an even greater ego which is why the name fits imo.  But if for the name to be really deserved he should win a couple of titles at least before he takes this name seriously though it seems he has bought into his own hype already.
