  1. The older tvs all had cathode ray tubes (CRT) in them. Maybe they are calling them tube tvs now to differentiate between LCD, palsma and CRT. Nearly all the tvs with large backs are "tube" tvs except for a few rear projection ones.

  2. a Tube TV is exactly what it sounds like. It contains capacitor and electron tubes, which amplify and carry signals to form a picture. Tube Televisions were used before modern technology, and are sometimes hard to come across. Parts for broken tube telvisions are also hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. They aren't produced anymore. This also holds true for Tube Radios.

  3. Tubes are things like cathode ray tubes, like in the older computer monitors.  CRT monitors.  They use a tube to project the image onto a screen.  They are a powerful capacitor that can store enough electricity to eloctrocute you.

  4. It refers to Cathode Ray Tubes. Cathode Ray Tubes are low-pressure glass tubes with a current running through the gasses in them. Depending on which gas is present, a different color is shown.

  5. It has a cathode ray tube.
