  1. When i knock my funny bone it makes me laugh with pain. lol

  2. because it makes your arm tingle and go numb and it's hilarious when people do it haha.

  3. Because other people think its funny and laugh at you when you knock it

  4. doesnt hurt when i do it

  5. Funny you should ask.

It doesn't hurt THAT badly--just a kind of twinging tingle. I've stubbed my toe and felt worse afterward. That's why it's funny. It's also "funny" in the sense of "odd," because it's the only place on the body that produces this precise reaction.

  6. I think because it gives you a funny feeling.  That is the only part of your body that feels like that when you hit it.

  7. LOL. Just like Honey said, it gives you that funny, tingly feeling when you hit it. Its the only bone that gives you that feeling. = )

  8. Maybe it's because..

Other people would laugh at you if they see you

in pain? You know.. some people are just plain

    sadistic.

  9. Silly...it is not a hahaha funny....it is a funny feeling funny..love honey

  10. LOLL

cause it has a funny tingly feeling to it when you hitit on something or hurt it

  11. BonEs says it involves the humerus.  That makes it funny, doesn't it?

  12. Well...

I don't really know why, because it hurts SO FREAKIN' BAD!

I guess the person who came up with that was just trying to be funny or something, and it resulted in this.

Even talking about this makes my funny bone begin to ache... lol.

  13. Because it makes other people laugh when you hurt your funny bone. If you bang it extremely hard like I did once, it gives this horrible tingly funny(notice the word?) feeling that hangs around for a long time, and is way worse then just lightly banging it. It made my arm feel dead for a long time. Hmm, that's a really good question!

  14. "The "funny bone" got its nickname because of that funny feeling you get after you hit it.

But your funny bone isn't actually a bone at all. Running down the inside part of your elbow is a nerve called the ulnar nerve. The ulnar nerve lets your brain know about feelings in your fourth and fifth fingers. It's also one of the nerves that controls some movement of your hand.

You get that funny feeling when the ulnar nerve is bumped against the humerus (say: hyoo-muh-rus), the long bone that starts at your elbow and goes up to your shoulder. Tapping your funny bone doesn't do any damage to your elbow, arm, or ulnar nerve. But it sure feels strange!"

  15. Because that bone is called the humerus bone.
