Why do they call ivan rodriguez, pudge?

It's a nickname he got as a child growing up in Puerto Rico. He was a little chunky back then but didn't let it bother him, and grew to love the nickname.

Yeah cause hes pudgy haha, but i think he got the name because of similarities to carlton fisk who was the first one to get the name pudge. They also say dioner navarro may be the next pudge : )
