  1. Aw bless you. I'm sure your teacher loves this but how old are you? If you are getting into your teens you may want to stop doing this as it can seem to them as though you are trying to seek favour from your teacher over the rest of the class, also if you are in your late teens it might be seen as a bit creepy, after all flowers are usually given to loved ones!

Usually I would say ignore it as most people who call other's names like 'Teachers Pet' are just jealous, especially if it is due to intelligence, but this is a little different. Speak to your teacher and ask if she likes getting the gift, and ask her if she wouldn't mind if you stopped bringing one in every day and instead brought her a whole bunch at the end of term?

  2. You're teacher is an authority figure and when you give an authority figure frequent gifts, it appears to others as if you are trying to get on their good side.  If you do mess up one day, the teacher may take it easier on you, or grade a paper easier because she likes you.

If it bothers you that much, take the bunch at the end of the term advice.  If it doesn't, then who cares?  You'll only be in high school for a couple more years and probably won't even see your classmates again.  I know I've been out of high school for 11 years and only talk to 2 or 3 people from that time, and I was also seen as a teacher's pet because I got good grades.  Now, I see the people who made fun of me and they aren't doing anything with their life and I have a successful career and am doing well.

Don't change who you are!  People's perspectives change a lot in college, and you won't be seen as the teacher's pet there.

  3. Because you probably try to suck up to the teacher. This may not be intentionally but your class mates feel it is the case. Also the teacher may in turn tend to favor you over other students

  4. As a female teacher, I'm a lot more concerned about the coffee in the yard than w/the rose. Why are you having coffee w/a teacher instead of hanging w/other kids? Why is she allowing this cross over of fraternization w/a student? How old is she? Personally, I think one rose was a nice gesture - one everyday and coffee is out of bounds.

  5. Because they are jealous and think that your kindness will get you special favors from the teacher or grades you dont deserve. If you are an older student this can be seen as not a good idea because of scandals in the past of student/teacher relationships. If it were me I would cease and desist on the daily flowers.

  6. Lol, you are sucking up to the teacher. "i bring the teacher a flower everyday from my dads Rose Garden". ordinarily, students do not give teachers gifts everyday.
