Why do some people go around telling people about the good things they've done? Like "I helped this person." "I recommended that person." "I donated to this organization."

  1. So that when you hear the bad things they've done, you either won't believe what you hear or you'll think "well, it all balances out in the end."


  2. They have too much pride in themselves.....

  3. well maybe that person think the person listening will be happy about it.  if that's the case, this person has just gone and spread happiness - a good thing !

  5. They want praise from others. They do it for the attention, not for the good deed. My uncle is just like that. Most of the time he can be a jerk, but most people who are his accuaintances think that he is the  most giving and kind man in the world jsut because he brags about himself all the time. Also, insecurity.

  6. Perhaps is just a conversation topic. But because we don't read minds, ask them. If you don't, it will be a matter of guessing.

  7. Because they validate their existence by saying stuff like that.

    And they need attention like children.
