    They are there because they are made this way for all applications and if they made them without braille the cost would be too expensive, also the blind do use them if they are in the vehicle as a passenger.......

  5. The ATM units used in drive-ins are generally the same models used in walk-up ATMs.  

    It is less expensive (for the bank) to buy and use the same model machine instead of having different versions made.  It makes them easier to maintain as well (same parts inside and out).

  6. I often wonder the same thing-maybe they walk up? lol

  7. because they do take taxis or get rides from friends.

    The blind can then use it with some privacy.
