Why do they have a all women engineer school?

Well, they may feel a bit outnumbered at other engineering school, since it's traditionally a male-dominated field. Personally, I'd rather go to a co-ed school, but I could understand why a woman may want to go to an all-women's engineering school to make female friends who understand her field of study.

Being the 1 women out of a classroom of 30 males for four years of college, I can tell you that there were definetly moments that I wished to have a couple girl friends to make.  I also experienced teachers who were always kind to me but had a difficult time delivering the material in a female friendly way.  Also reasearch shows that some women will feel intimidated by male classmates and that will limit their performance.  I am sure that is somewhat true in the other direction.  

Personally, I would never choose to go to a all - girl school, but can appreciate the motivations of women who would want to.
