Why do they keep making these movies?

Ok so why do they keep making movies like Date Movie..

They'ved had Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Superhero Movie and now Disaster Movie. They aren't even any good. Date Movie was the only actual good one..

Because they are good box office hits. It doesn't matter that they are rated so poorly, its the fact that so many people go see them the first weekend that it makes up for how poorly its rated. lame I know.

They are all from the same francise as Scary Movie, which has had a lot of success. A lot of people go see them in theaters because of this.

Because people are still watching them, no matter how stupid they are. As long as they're making money, it doesn't matter how bad the movie is.

They need to just make one titled Stupid Movie and get it over with.

As for why? Simple. Morons are loose. Morons in Hollywood make crappy movies, other morons pay money to watch them, still other morons see that this c**p is making money and churn out more of the same. Vicious cycle for which there is no end in sight.

The movies that they spoof were very popular, so if a portion of that audience watches the spoof then they can make money.

i dont know. But superhero movie wasn't actually made by Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg (the "minds" behind all the other spoof movies"). The movies actually do well, even though the ratings are horrendous. The movies are supposed to appeal to young adults, but the only people who actually like them are kids ages 9-12.

I agree, Date movie was the only slightly tolerable one. I liked the scene when she gets on the motorcycle and turns into a big black man, and i like the kill bill scenes.
