i hate the god d**n post office. anywhere i look, from google maps to yahoo local to superpages to anywho to the usps site , it lists the main # for the local post office #. so if i want to call them i have to deal with a whole automated mess just to get my local office phone number. i can only think of one reason they do this. they totally blow chunks...what do u guys think?

  1. I think you are not looking in the right place.  If you go directly to the usps.com web site, and click on "locate a post office" you can enter the zip code, and it lists the addresses,  hours, and direct phone numbers for that code.

USPS home page http://www.usps.com/  - see the red menu bar across the top and pick 'locate a post office"

    or see the direct link:

see example from zip code 10036, below:

Post Office - Times Square Station 0.18 Miles

      340 W 42nd ST

    New York, NY 10036-9998 Phone:  (800) ASK-USPS
