Why do they pick on me so much??

i`m a sophmore and these "OMG" girls aka Preps, are always picking on me, i freaking do nothing to them sept hate all of them with a passion, they pick on me or whisper c**p about me to their friends and `im like "Um, hello i`m freaking sitting right here.."i just try to ignore it but it doesn`t work, i don`t label myself but i guess i`d be punk or something i dunno, but i listen to bands like Bring me the Horizon, Underoath, Blessthefall, screamo bands, and i blast my ipod all the time, then i see these barbie dolls dressed in there tight t-shirts and there mini-skirts and there ii am with a pair of knee-hi`s a black skirt and a band tee with my converse rocking out, and they whisper to each other and make faces at me and call me a freak and a demon, i try to ignore it but, its soo annoying, they just wont stop.. any suggestions on how to set them straight?

They are like a pack of wolves.  They only feel "powerful" when they are with their pack of dogs.  See them for what they are, pitiful losers.  Be true to yourself and ignore them.

people are always ripping on the emo/punk whatever classification you use.. if you don't mind dressing a little more "preppy" i guess you could call it would probably help but if you like yourself the way you are i'd say your f*cked and they wont stop

Tell them you have a voodoo doll for each one of them and an endless supply of pins. Seriously though, do your best to act is if it really does nothing to you. In fact, fake laugh (make it seem real) then abruptly stop, sigh and say "is that the best plastic can come up with? Sad." laugh again and walk away. I know it really doesn't seem like it will do much...but they know they bother you, so it's fun for them.

You should just ignore them. The more that you're annoyed by it, the more that they're going to pick on you. Just pretend like you don't hear them, ignore the b*****s, and just don't pay any attention to them.

You know who you are and don't ever doubt about it. Just because  someone, who shouldn't even be talking about you, said something stupid about you don't make it affect you too much.

You're only growing stronger by this so don't make it a bad thing.

just ignore them dont even give them eye contact once they realise u dont care what they think they will give up . i  think its good u have ur own fashion i hate it wen everybody wears the same

Coz anyone that doesnt look like them and fit into their mind of what 'cool' people look like. ITs all childish you will grow up and they will grow up and prolly be those wierd suburban house mums ahah jj. But na be proud of being individual who cares what they think as long your happy then that all that counts. You will meet people that share your music and that then you can talk about them ahha jj dont do that.. anyways im blabbing You sound cool! dont change and if it gets real bad tell your parents or friend teacher watever ok cool!

I changed school wen i was younger with my black hair my nose and  tongue pierced and a industrial through my ear with my skull bag and i was like watever!! haha and literally the whole school is like rich posh kids omg no haha but i got over it and im fine!

just get a couple of your friends to confront them. just saying "what is your problem" to people like that will kind of embarrass them and then they should stop. get a guy to go with you when you confront them, then they will know you mean business . haha

These girls are probably just jealous of you.  You should just ask them WTF is their problem and then tell them to save their pathetic chatter for people who give a sh*t as you couldn't care if they live or die.  You should read the book "Queen Bee's and the wanna bee's" it'll give you an idea of the social order of the group and then you can decided how best to deal with them.  Good luck and just continue to be true to your self.  High school sucks.
