  3. Machines are usually assembled from interchangeable parts - The same parts go into many different machines. The keypad for a drive up ATM is probably the same keypad as is used on normal walk-up ATMs. Making one version with Braille is cheaper and easier than making two versions with a small, slight difference.

  5. To make drivers that can see more cautious of the drivers who can't see. It's a trick! That's why their called blind-spots.

  6. The ATM manufacturers probably don't know where the ATM will be placed, so there is a similar keypad with all ATMs.

  8. I know it's silly.  But I think it's because businesses have to follow the regulations, one of them is to be able to accommodate everybody regardless of physical and/or mental conditions.
