Why do they put holes in crackers?

  5. Because holes are the only thing that you can see, but weigh nothing, and when you put them in a bucket, the bucket weighs less!

  19. It's because when they had hardtack, they would put holes in it to make it easy to break. And they continue that tradition.

  20. This is a very good question..Perhaps to make them light and airy, and to help the filled crackers show whats inside ie:Cheese or peanut butter.
