I mean seriously, I don't mean to sound mean, I feel for these people. But why do they constantly rebuild with wood after a tornado hits??? either answer here or on my blog: www.brokenscreen.blogspot.com

  1. Well wood is cheaper and the risk of being hit by a tornado, even in tornado alley is still relatively low. So all the expense for a house that will probably be knocked down in less than 80 years without even seeing a tornado would be a waste.

And if it was built of something else it wouldn't match the character of all the other rickety wooden houses that survived or are being rebuilt. Just imagine the chaos if a row of houses in the United States weren't completely congruous!
