I always thought it was because of sexist school counciler's pushing female students to take it while pushing male students to drop out...Because if only male students who take it are high achievers and both female high achievers and under achievers take it, it would lower the female average for the test.Could be wrong since that information is not available to the public(number of how many boy's and girl's took the test).Only the average grade by gender is available.. how convienent.I wounder if there is any way to either get that info or dispell the feminist myth about SAT tests?
