Why do they say the luck of the irish im irish and never have any luck lol?

so for everyone out there and our american friends whose great great great great granparents are irish as we constantly hear and are around the world dont believe all the hype with luck of the irish we dont all wear arran cardigans have little leprechans jumping around and we dont all do jigs n reels and riverdance everynight ireland can be a dangerous misleading place sorry to say

    seriously i hate the whole stereo type put on irish people

    we dont all have red hair and green eyes and freckles and we dont have that mad accent that non irish people put on when pretending to be irish.

    Seriously though, it seems to me that if you're Irish, you should also have tremendous patience for each of the shallow people you encounter =)
