Why do they say the pool in china is faster thananother pool?

I keep hearing them say the reason so many world records have been broken in the Olympics is because it was disigned to be faster. How can that be?

I just read it a while ago about the pool. Yes, the type of suit, but also the ropes (like dividers) and the way the water laps over the edge, giving them less resistance.

Nooo.  The swimmers are faster because of their new suits.  They are the funny looking ones that even the guys wear.  These suits are designed so that water does not really get in them.  Water just slides down them without soaking in.  It is a pretty cool thing.

The suits are much faster, and probably have a greater overall effect, but I understand that the pool was built to be faster. It's about a meter deeper than official pools and the draining system is supposed to be designed to reduce choppiness in the water that can slow swimmers down.

i heard the pool in the water cube is deeper and wider, also with a better temperature control.

and swimmers are wearing speedos.

its not the pool, they are useing new suits that they say are faster

the pool is faster beacuse they built it a bit deeper than regulation olympic pool.  =)
