  1. heehee ^^ all baseball fans heard that one ;)

The song was written in 1908 by Jack Norworth. One day when he was riding a New York City subway train, he spotted a sign that said "Ballgame Today at the Polo Grounds." and that inspired him to make a song :)

and the part that we sing today is only the chorus. The song is about Katie Casey :)

    "Katie Casey was baseball mad

Had the fever and had it bad.

Just to root for the home town crew

    Ev'ry sou' Katie blew.

On a Saturday, her young beau

Called to see if she'd like to go

To see a show but Miss Kate said,

"No, I'll tell you what you can do."

    and then... its

Take me out to the baaall game.... etc etc ^^
