  1. Well , we wouldn't want the person we are executing to get sick , would we?

  2. Out of habit, I suppose. whatever the injection is, it certainly won't be so long that any existing virus or bacteria can kill the inmate before the injection kills him/her.

The quickest way to execute people is still firing squad. Russian surplus is just 13 cents a bullet. Or a guillotine, the blade can be reused a thousand times. But both is too gruesome or brutal for the US.

  3. So they wouldn't get infection in h**l.

  4. Because they're mollycoddling idiots. Bring back the noose, electric chair or gas chamber.

    It is, after all, punishment.

As for Mr Petey and his "justice has to be seen to be done" c**p, they are sentenced to "death by lethal injection", not by an "injection of serum". As long as the injection brings about the prescribed punishment, who cares what's injected?

  5. To make sure that death is caused by the serum alone. As well as being done, justice has to be seen to be done.

For Y!A and others who missed the point, this is NOT to protect the recipient but the system that is performing the execution.
