  1. because you can't buy unsterile needles

  2. General Practise, If they used a dirty needle chances it would be blocked. Also safety for the person who is putting the needle in, they don't want a dirty needle in themselves if such thing occurs. Also most needles come in a blister packet so therefore pre sterilised.

  3. needles are individually prepackaged and sterilized.

  4. i know so stupid

  5. It is true that you can't buy dirty needles.  However people need to die a good clean death.  OK no more jokes.  People who already complain about the death penalty would complain more that it would be unsanitary or inhumane do to the fact that dirty needles can in fact hurt more than a regular needle, woopty doo, I think he/she has bigger things on their mind.

  6. Wouldnt you sue the c**p out of the state if you were the person injecting the needle and got stuck with one that was dirty?

There is always a chance the execution can be put on hold at the last minute.  I would def sue if I was the person on death row, ended up being found innocent at the last second, but contracted a disease from a dirty needle.

Beyond that, where exactly would you buy a non-sterile needle?

  7. There are 3 injections. The first sedates you. The second relaxes the muscles and the last one is KCl and stops the heart.

  8. Executions have to appear humane. The use of unsterilised needles would be considered a cheap and inappropriate alternative.... "The Life of David Gale", good movie :)

  9. Because it is just as easy as using a dirty needle, I guess the real question is... why do they swab it with an alcohol pad first, haha :)
