  1. I think that's quite likely to be asked if the cop had signaled for you to pull over, and you didn't do so right away.

    Many times a driver doesn't stop immediately. He/she may be looking for a safe spot, not notice the cop, or ignoring him. The cop, however, has no idea why the driver isn't stopping.

    If you're being pulled over, look for a safe spot to do so. Most importantly, make an indication to the cop that you know he's there. Motion with your head or hand, put on your signal, slow down, and pull off the road at the first opportunity.

    If you pull completely off the road, make sure you allow room for his car behind you. Very few, if any, officers will have a problem with that.

  4. Evey thing a cop does is to get a reaction.  Just be respectful and don't play his/her games.

Because they know you've seen them and they want to see if you will lie to them.  Also, they may have been trying to pull you over for a while, and they just want to know why.  Maybe you're oblivious.  Maybe you have a dead body in the trunk.  They don't mean to scare you, they just want to know what they're dealing with.

    Amazing how many people answer with yet ANOTHER violation.
