  1. that age rule only applies to gymnastics because younger people have an unfair advantage because of their differences in bodyweight and flexibility. there were many people competing under the age of 16 including Tom Daley who was 14.


  2. The age limit changes from sport to sport depending on international rules set by the different sports federations.

    From the IOC website -

    There is no age limit for competing in the Olympic Games, except for those that may be imposed by individual IFs (International Federations).

  3. You don't. Gymnastics is the only event with an age limit. Great Britain had a 14 year old diver and the U.S. had a 15 year old diver so there really isn't an age limit except for gymnastics.
