Why do u have to lean when going fast on a street bike?

Ok so i see all of these street bikers going really fast on the road and on videos.So when they like have to turn in like a another lane they lean the entire bike. Could someone tell me why and how they do that . Cant that bike just slip right under them? or i just dont know the laws of gravity and friction? thanks!!

there's this thing out now that's called physics. i guess this guy named newton came up with it.

but serously, make sure the coeficiant of friction between the tires and road it higher than the centripital force or else it will slide out from under you. there's techniques though to make this happen. i wouldn't practice on the road though.

If you went into a turn with the bike straight up and down, you'd fly right off. Try it on a bicycle.

Well from my experience, if i want to go fast in the corners , I will have to lean more close to the ground (the bike and myself. once the center of gravity is lowered and centered (between me and the bike),  the more stable the bike will be but this is done with smooth throttle control , consistent speed, and a lot of experience. In addition to good racing  or track tires. The bike and the rider needs to be one unit as a whole.

But in recent years with new technology and material use on new production tires on the showroom,  you can drag your kness no problem on street or track.(BUT I STRICTLY DO NOT ADVISE IT) Just remember to warm the tires before you do any hard ride or do any leaning. Need to get the tires warm. Its a Must!! Never ride hard or lean on a cold tire.

If you compare between  street  and track tires, the race tires do not have any threads, they are slick and flat. At first you might think,  " wow its slippery !!"  Actually those tires are super sticky went hot and since its NO thread on the tire surface,  its more contact patch to the ground.
