  1. It is a basic human need.


  2. I like to understand how things come about. Historical knowledge has been particularly satisfying in understanding political forces.  

  3. Because someday I won't be able to. Until then I have to fill my cup with everything I can.  Besides, the more I know, the more people will respect me. And the more people respect me, the more likely they are to come to my funeral. Nobody wants an empty church at their funeral.

  4. I have a touch of aspergers syndrome, its a habit for me... I can remember and put together a lot of knowledge very easily without trying too hard.
