Why do u think flight sim x is better than flight sim 2004?

It's really not, its fake, can't even run on the average computer.

because it offers a wider range of ...........well everything!

from scenery to aircraft, better multiplayer facilities!

the only reason people would prefer fs2004 is because they do not have a computer than can run fsx

I don't. FSX is more of a game than a simulation.

FS 2004 is still preferred to FSX by many simmers because FSX requires far more hardware and brings little in the way of compensating advantages to the table.  There are more add-ons available for FS 2004 and it runs much faster on the average computer.

I have been using MS flight Sim X for 6 months and find little benefit to this huge software package (15 gig). My PC exceeds MS's requirements to run the program but this program just drains everything. I have tweaked all the setting, frame rates, 2D, 3D and have found no magic fix. I have MS 98, 2000, 2002, and 2004 each were a product upgrade. It is my opinion Flight Sim X is still in Beta testing.
