Why do u think the government implemented that on Feb.17, 2009 all analog channels will switch to digital?

Because digital signal uses less bandwidth than analog, so FCC can sell more bandwidth.

because the signal is much smaller and it allows more room for more channels and frequencies that can be used  for more tv stations, cell phones, radio stations and emergency communications.

the reason behind everything, bc you cant get anything for free anymore. You will now have to have a digital converter, which means you will have to pay for it. I remember when all you needed was a good antenna...lol
