  1. They have Women's Centers because the women lobbied for it.  Get a group of men together that want a Center for the same reason that women want a Center and write a petition to the Dean.  What about a fraternity?  Maybe that would solve your problem?  A Women's Center is different from a sorority, so you would have to center your petition around dealing with issues that relate to men, like educating men against date rape and how not to get a woman pregnant.  It would have to be about sensitivity training.  If it is just a social club, then it's just another fraternity, isn't it?

I think you would have trouble getting enough guys interested in it.  Are YOU REALLY interested, or are you just ranting like a baby?  If you are sincere take my advice and you will get a Center.

I sense that you are not even in College and are just ranting.  Notice I used the word sensed, because I am a modern man.  Believe me, if men really wanted a Center for the same purpose as a Women's Center, the College would do it.  There are no centers because there is no interest.  Most of us have one or two friends, and then a girlfriend.  We are just not that gregarious.

  2. This seems very strange to me, the first feminists fought to allow women to attend the top universities and now they are there they need assistance! I bet the early fems are turning in their graves!

  3. probably because the whole ethos of university was built for a male society and women work differently they need to intragrate more and socialise we work better when we bond look at the sufferagetes lol

anyway men do have a mens centre its called the pub

oh and the football match and the rugby need i go on lol just kidding sorry men i dont hate you really  c x

  4. Women have more needs and concerns. Like pregnancy, breast cancer, things like that. I hope this doesn't offend you.

  5. I ain't mad at you Noel.  This is a very good question, and something that I've never thought of.

I do think that it's s*x discrimination, and thank you for bringing this up.

  6. women r not  treated fairly in society,  they don't get paid the same even if they have the same degree and experience as a man in... some cases..plus women get raped more often than men and they have to take care of children on their own more  too. etc

If u want a  mens center u should advocate for it, i'm pretty the women ctrs are made bcuz women made them/male and female doctors and the like..its to inform women its has nothing to do with feminisim or anything like that!

PLus women have a lot of health concerns, women shouldn't drink ...they shouldn't smoke, miscarriges, and other female issues, breast cancer ovarian cancer etc etc  men get cancer to but its not as near and deadly as it would be to a womens, on average. (read again, on average)

  7. Because women (more often than men) need information and support with issues such as balancing study/children, sexual harrassment, health issues etc.

If there's a need for men's centres, why don't men get off their butts and set them up?  Why keep complaining about it? Who do you think established the women's centres? Surely if we could do it, you could too.

  8. Then men should request for more to be built.

  9. Cuz we don't take the pill or need abortions?

Steve Martin once quipped about Virginia Slims cigarettes being a women's cigarette. He asked,  "What do they have, like little b*****s on them or something?"

  10. s*x discrimination.

  11. Quite simply. . . it's often because women asked (either directly or indirectly) for that sort of thing, and men didn't.

Is it necessarily fair or equal?  No.  Are men and women (speaking in general here) always alike in what they want/need to feel happy, productive, successful, etc?  No.  There's the explanation for this difference -- more men probably get along just fine without that than women do because of how things work in modern society and/or their own brains.

  12. Because feminism isn't about equality, if it was it would be called humanism, feminism is about making women superior and giving them advantages over men.  Men do not have 1/100 the health problems women do, that first answer is so irrational.  Men have issues to like prostate cancer and hernias  This might explain why on average women live 5 years longer

  13. Because women took the initiative to start them instead of just complaining that they don't exist. If men wanted more men's centres, who do they expect to do all the ground work to start one up? You can't build an organization by whining, it takes work!
