Why do vaccume cleaners have lights on them, who vaccumes at night?

They are more for dark corners and under furniture rather than vaccuming at night.  ;)

It is not there so you can clean at night, it is there so you can see under any furniture like a sofa, or armchair when cleaning under them.

The light on the front of the vacuum actually helps me when I'm cleaning under things and in other light deprived places.  I imagine you would get a good vacuuming in at night though, only focusing on the area right in front of you.

why do you not have your lights on at night?

probably to help you see underneath things where the light doesn't reach

Anything with headlights on is just.. 'cool'.

That is why my riding John Deehr mower has headlights on...

Cause you never know when you are going to be cutting grass in the dead of night.  :)

Not all do.. but seriously, I think it's for vacuuming in dark corners, under beds, etc. It helps you to see what dirt is DIRECTLY in front of the vacuum so you can do a better job. It doesn't light up the whole room or anything. And if yours does, you have a super vac!

I vaccuum at night! And yes my vaccuum has a light on it.  It really helps especially since my carpets is a dark tan color and at times I can miss spots.  So, it helps me.  Best time to vaccuum is at night. No foot traffic... although it may awake my family, so what...they need to get up and help too!

Sometimes there are things on the carpet that nearly match the color of the carpet, such as nickles and dimes on greyish carpets or pennies on brown carpets. You need the extra light to see those things. One coin can break the fan on the bottom of vacuum and it is not cheap to repair.
