Why do vegetable plant leaves yellow?

My garden's vegetable plants' leaves are turning yellow, and I'm wondering if it's because they're over-saturated with water, or they don't get watered enough.

  2. usually yellowing plants mean that there is a nitrogen dificiency, you could use any type of fertalizer you desire to help raise the nitrogen in the soil.

    just make sure your fert has a high N value (N(itrogen)-P(hospheres)-K(potash).
