Why do videos play so choppy on my computer?

You need more memory. you can buy a 1GB stick at walmart for $35.

If you're playing them on the internet, your connection is too slow.  It plays a portion, then spends time downloading the next portion, etc etc.

If you're playing them from a file you downloaded to your PC, and they too are choppy, then you probably do not have enough RAM on your PC (or you have a crappy video board).
