  1. They sense the inherent evil nature of man and his inhumanity to nature....

Either that or they want you to get out of their space because you jepordise their food or young, something like that.

    g-day!

  2. I'd be p-o'ed if I were a wasp, 'cuz humans have killed WAY more wasps than wasps have killed humans...but wasps keep trying to even the score. Go wasps!

  3. Because you are in its territory. He is trying to defend the hive by attacking you or more like defending itself and others. It can't rationalize whether you are sittin in the garden for fun or attacking its hive. If you want to get rid of it go to wal-mart or somethin and but that spray ''goodbye bug'' or somethin like that... Hope that helps.

  4. Never in my 60 plus years, of which many have been spent working outdoors, has a wasp just attacked me.  They don't.  The wasp that landed on you might have been looking for food or liquid, ie sweat.  Wasp do not attack people unless people threaten them.  There is absolutely NO reason for a wasp to attack something 2000 times larger than it.  Wasp do attack other wasp.  Wasp also have to defend themselves from predators.  Wasp evolved many more millions of years ahead of humans.  Humans are just one of many annoyance they have to put up with.

  5. The wasp is just sitting on you and trying to wrok out what you are. When you "attack" or scare it by flicking it away then it will sting you to defend itself. They don't often just attack people for no reason.

Having said that, I don't like them myself either.

  6. They don't land on you to sting you. If you are wearing perfume, they will be attracted to the scent. If you stay perfectly still it will not sting you, but if you swat it away it will sting in defence. The only time they will actually attack you, is if you threaten their nest in any way, then they will swarm and attack, to protect the queen.

  7. It`s their defence mechanism: they usually only sting you if they feel threatened.
