I am just glad to see them all staying so limber...and wet.

  1. I am a swimmer and it is the chlorine that you want to get out of your hair quickly or makes your hair turn green.  Not to mention all the urine too, that does not dissipate that quickly.

  2. They shower because the pool is so cold.  They have to keep their muscles warm because their events are so close together.  They can't afford to get too cold, because it tenses the muscles.  So, they hop in the shower to keep warm and relaxed.

  3. To warm up their muscles - the pool is around 80 degrees F.

However, I do wonder why they don't have privacy walls for showering :)

  4. they shower to keep their muscles warm in between dives...if their muscles are cold, they do not preform as well (that is the other reason that they use the hot tub)

  5. So that they can stay limber and keep their muscles warm..
