  1. I think it is best to just accept what you have, but always keep trying to better yourself as a caring, loving, individual and try not to worrying about having more of anything.


  2. Man needs that opium hit and because acquiring "stuff" in the past has gave him that hit he seeks to repeat it, each time requiring more and more to the point of him being dissatisfied with anything he may acquire.

    The only way free from this is in the purification of the mind and senses.

  5. some people think everything is disposable and they can get new  things, any  look when there is a flood ugh  all the garbage  i say thank god for what u have and give away to the needy  recycle and waste not want not.

    What is success if it isn't having more than others? (be honest.)

    Isn't the sum of all the human progress of the last 100years mostly measured by all the new products we have that our ancestors didn't have?

    Besides it is economic necessity that we buy all that stuff. Mass production require Mass Consumption promoted by Mass Media.

    Pretty soon it will reach Critical Mass and we won't have to worry about it anymore.

    When we discover our essence, we will no more "want" for inessentials. They will be revealed as the distractions that they are.

  20. Simply because we aren't finding what we need, what we are searching for. It is all within you. Not in any books or other people. Your spirit is what you search for. Within, not without. Religion is outside. Won't find it there. Your spirit is within you and has been neglected. We search to reconnect with our true selves. There we find satisfaction and things of this world become as garbage to us.  No god, no messiah. You save yourself by letting your spirit lead your life instead of your brain/computer.

  30. I hate to be blunt...and juvenile...but that really sucks that you're lumping everyone into one shallow category.  It's not fair to assume everyone is greedy and wants more than what they have.

    Some people, even those who do not believe in God, are completely happy with their lives and feel fulfilled with what they have, most likely because they worked for what they have.


  31. Not always, but often. Sometimes it's greed,envy or a feeling of deprivation. It depends on the individual.People who are poor and don't have housing or enough to it may often want to have more because their living situation is inadequate
