  1. Because it helps to keep the spreading of diseases until bodies break down . It is really gross to dig around in the grown and come across a dead body.


  2. To make it harder for the zombies to get out!  lol

    No, really I think the reason is because after time, the dirt on top gets eroded away from rain and wind, and we don't want to see the tops of caskets and maybe partially decomposed bodies so the 6 feet ensures that whatever was buried stays buried.

  3. An average male is 6 feet, and if your buried in dirt that is your height your screwed.
