  1. That would be because giving birth is hard hard work that, at it's easiest, takes hours and is very painful.


  2. We don't...We call labor when a women is going to give birth to a baby. Its hard work that is why it's called labor...

  3. I think you're all confused. When they are pregnant, it's called Maternity. Pregnancy. Labor is when the baby is being born.  

  4. Labor is the hard WORK a womans body goes through to prepare for the delivery of a baby.  It is a lot of work for a woman to give birth.
