  1. Because we all have psychological issues relating to appearance. We are quite obsessive about it. That's how society makes us feel.

  2. I think we just want to create  good impression and want people to notice us in a positive way.

  3. We live in a superficial world, were a huge emphasis is on image as the most important thing. We're told how we act, look, and dress affects others opinions of us, and in turn should affect how we feel. It's sad really.

  4. ??????????? i dunno i guess we care about image too much

  5. i want to look good to attract people not to impress them.

  6. I don't know an answer to that. I know what you mean though. Sometimes I'll be in a place where I know I'll never see anyone that I'm around again, they don't know me, but I still get really nervous around anyone new, especially strangers. It's strange that we care so much about making a good impression on strangers when you can usually tell from a first encounter whether or not this is someone who you care to get to know. I bet the people we want to impress are just as worried as we are. A specific example of my issue with this is usually in bathrooms or groups of younger teenage girls-it's worth when both are at once. I feel like certain little girls who are trying to grow up too fast are really mean and I feel like they'll judge me, even though I'm way older and have had more life experience. I think it comes from horrid memories of mean girls like in sixth grade when everyone is just malicious to make themselves feel better. Ah puberty.

  7. Because we want people to like us.

We wanna give people a good impression.
