Why do we carry on living?

Why do we carry on living?

Because its natural to fear death.

Well, one could carry on dying, but you can only do that once. So, on average, the human species carries on living. We just can't help ourselves.

We carry on living because we have a purpose and we have to fulfill it.

To pursue the ultimate questions of life and the universe.  For some, to find or touch God.  To have questions answered we cannot answer, like we are doing here now.

Because we can...because we have a God who loves us and wants us to live for Him...because though this life is temporary, anything aside from it is permanent (and so if we ended it, we can't change our minds later)...

Life's tough, sometimes it sucks, but nothing we go through is anything that somebody else somewhere, some time didn't already overcome before us.

Because we were made to live. I know life is hard and full of atrocities but isn't life great when we experience love? Life is great when we eat an ice cream sundae or snuggle a baby.
