Question:

Why do we debate the necessity of destroying terrorists when they publicly vow our destruction?

We go on and on about the war in Iraq, arguing and giving strength to our enemies, when even our enemies have made it well known they would destroy the U.S. if given half of a chance! I was just wondering if anybody else out there had any common sense left?

  1. People don't remember when Saddam attacked America on 9/11!

  2. I agree completely.   I think it is because liberals win when America looses.

  3. Because we are part of a civilized society and these terrorists are not; they are like barbarians. We cannot be like them. But silently we plot to annihilate them and put up the pretense that we are "civilized" in our ways. These debates are just fronts. There are already people working towards this agenda but to whose agenda that makes all the difference.

  4. We debate because we live in a Democracy and it's our duty and obligation to discuss matters like these and consider all points of view before collectively making a decision.

  5. Please go deeper. "Terrorists" want imperialistic powers out of their countries. When the USA et al realize they can't just go sitting their fat asses in other people's domain, terrorism might go away. But you are silly if you think people just hate us because we have Disney World. If another government came to LA and set up their troops there, and the people in LA fought back, would you call them "terrorists" ? Osama wanted the USA out of his country. They wouldnt leave, he started a movement. Period.

  6. Liberals this Conservatives that-when are you all going to realize that what is going on now is WRONG not to mention CRIMINAL with Bush at it's helm! The enemy is within

Educate yourself PLEASE! Saddam did not attack the US neither did he have weapons of mass destruction..omg, where do these moronic comments come from?!

  7. So when the war on terror is hurting america more than it's enemies, we shouldn't debate how to fix this because it will embolden the enemy?

  8. terror is a tactic, not a country you can defeat and control...once people realize that maybe we can all get on the same page

  9. I blame the Jew's there always doing something wrong

  10. What war?  It's an occupation

  11. Well, terrorism isn't just evil islamists. There are good terrorists, and misnomed terrorists.

Good terrorists would be SHAC who use fear to prevent Huntingdon life sciences from testing on animals, and threaten corporations that do business with them.

Misnomed terrorists are ones like the ALF. They don't scare people to get their point across it just results in fear. They free animals and hurt those who kill them. Finacially never physically.

You mean islamic terrorists and extremists. You cant destroy terrorists unless you destroy their religion completely. Kill pretty much every muslim and you will stop islamic extremism. Until then you have to deal with. Kill innocent muslims to kill the guilty or let them all live. You will never weed out every terrorist muslim. Until you kill them all.

  12. You are confused about the difference between the war in Iraq and the war on Terrorism. Unfortunately our President has chosen to pretend the two are one in the same when in fact they are completely different. Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism prior to our invasion of the Country. Our operations in Iraq have caused more hatred of the United States creating more terrorists. I haven't heard many debate our presence in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban and Al Qaeda, but the war in Iraq has taken vital resources away from that front and in my opinion is the direct cause of why we have now received a report saying that Al Qaeda has rebuilt its strength back to where it was prior to the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001. If President Bush truly was concerned about fighting Terrorism and protecting our Country, he would end his personal battle in Iraq and focus our energy and resources on the real threats. President Bush is making our Country more vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

  13. People don't remember when Saddam attacked America on 9/11!

Ya right whoever said that just to let you know Saddam didn't attack America.

  14. yes that is a question...

  15. They got their chance at America and didn't succeed.

  16. The debate isn't about wanting to get rid of terrorists. The debate is about the best way to do so.

It's not as simple as going off and killing them all and *poof* no more problem. Sometimes our actions inspire terrorism, for example.

It's a far more complex situation than you are giving it credit for. Much like our president, you seem to not be able to grasp that a well thought out approach is essential. Going in guns blazing is only making things worse. A report came out just today that Al Queda is at it's strongest since 9/11. It's on the front page of cnn.com right now.

  17. there are people with common sense, your just not one of them.
