Why do we feel intense pressure after crying?

You know after a long, hard cry when your eyes and head hurt? Why is this and is there anything to make the pressure stop?

  1. people say crying relieves pressure unless you mean physical pressure.  


  2. it's because you are getting your sinuses flowing.  try a cold/wet washcloth on your face/forehead.  Ibuprofen may help bring down sinus swelling too.

  3. you're body gets worn out. very exhausted. to prevent this, one is required to be very optimistic. (also prevents wrinkles and gray hair)
