Why do we feel the need to stretch?

When we wake? When we've been in a certain position for a length of time? for no particular reason at all?

  1. I'm pretty sure it's just something to "wake up" your muscles after not having done anything for a while.


  2. i stretch morning and night to be more flexible, which is equally as important as strength and cardiovascular health in terms of fitness
