Why do we get butterflies in our stomach?

You know when your nervous, or around someone you are in love with or like a lot. Or the feeling where you can barely breathe. I always get these when im around a certain guy and i just wanted to know why?

its just only when u go over stuff  and u dont know it u get butterfies in your stomach          i am a scientist
