  1. May you were there during the rebel group made an offensive against there opponents.

  2. I give up Maej.. I'll answer your questions..

It's an instinct which usually is the defense mechanism of the brain against harm to ourselves and to people we know even if there's really nothing to be scared of.. It's like a primal component of our personality which dictates our body that there's something wrong..

  3. Self preservation is wired into our genes and is the primary directive of our central nervous system.

On the rare occasions when we rise above this impulse, and override this prime directive, we are either fools or heroes.

  4. It's part of the balance.

  5. for various reasons:

    1. if it's our first time to do things

    2. when we're not familiar with the people or situations around us (basically the same with no.1)

    3. when we think we could not make it - e.g afraid of losing someone

  6. Scientifically speaking, it comes from the "fight or flight" instinct. More general, it's just from the fact that something might harm us and we're afraid to approach it.

  7. We get scared because we think it.  It's a reaction whenever we are unsure of things.  We are scared to try out new things because we are uncertain whether it works or whether we have the capability to do it.  We are scared of falling in love because we dread getting hurt or disillusioned.  We are scared to tell the truth because we fear facing consequences or repercussions.

Uncertainty of the unknown oftentimes is the cause of our fears or fright.  And this is sometimes ingrained in us from childhood.  We occasionally overcome some fears or outgrow them but there are others that will continue to remain and haunt us.

  8. We get scared in order to survive.  We get scared as a natural human reaction to a perceived threat that could conceivably inflict harm to us.  Fear is our initial line of defense that either stirs us into action as soon as we recognize danger, or stops us from acting recklessly to our own detriment.  It keeps us alive.

  9. ...life is one uncertainty after another. we're only sure that tomorrow will come but what it will bring, we don't know. short of being pessimistic, it's really okay to be a bit scared. this allows us to take things in perspective and not be too complacent that we take things for granted.  it's really okay to be running scared...moderately, of course. it further shows we're caring human beings.

  10. because we think of somethig scary. (:
