  1. to keep yourself warm and to shield your head from the sun.

  2. its protein that our bodies havent used and its like dead skin and cuz God wanted us to!

  3. We have hair everywhere, it's just concentrated on our head because it's fragile and hair is protection. Also, most heat escapes throught the top of our head so it keeps it in, not exacty pertection, but I googled it.

  4. would u rather have hair everywhere like a monkey or are you satisfied with the hair on you head that keeps your head warm from the bitter seasons?

  5. omg are you mad! we would look really silly without hair!

    lmao! XD

  6. To prtect your head

  7. what? you want us all to be bald?!

  8. because we do!

  9. Our DNA, we have DNA all over our bodies but only some of it is activated if you will, e.g. the genes in your head will have the hair gene activated but won't have the nail gene in. We also have hair the same reason why we have pubic hair to help with sweating and stuff lke that.

  10. ... without hair.. how shampoo and conditioner would sell.

  11. idk i shave so who knows

  12. Discover magazine had an article about it...

One reason is to prevent heat-loss, as our brains quickly malfunction if they get too cold or hot.

Another theory is that it is part of Darwin's "sexual selection" (as opposed to natural selection) in which you judge a partner's health by their hair.  Hair requires protein (keratin, melanin, etc.), so having hair indicates that you are a good hunter/gatherer of food, and it indicates general health.  Shiny long hair indicates physical fitness, like the lion's mane, a peacock's feathers.

  13. Insulation.
