Why do we have olympics ? i need the answer for my persnal project ?

We have Olympics because it allows people of different cultures to set aside their differences and come together peacefully. :)

I believe that at one time, it was truly a pure, amateur competition between countries. Now, it is all about money. Look at Michael Phelps If he wins that eighth medal, he gets one million dollars from Speedo.

I think it brings the entire world together which we need for so much.  We all share this same ideal and goal at the olympics. Ideally its a connection free from political over bearings. Unfortunately that isnt 100 percent true.

The original concept was to avoid huge losses on the battlefields, having "games" was one way of getting a winner without losing face for both sides. In time, the games became contests between nations, and evolved into what we see now.

used to be an event to challenge, test and push human capabilities n endurance to limits..

now an over-the-top commercial and political event

Because since the age of man kind, we have had a problem.  We always have to prove we are better than someone else.  We are faster, stronger, skinner, etc.  It's in our blood and natural.
