  1. So that we can move all the parts of our body properly. So people can run, jump, throw, play instruments, even breath. Imagine your arm being one big bone, you couldn't even move it. There aren't "so many bones", just the right amount so that we can live.


  2. Having a lot of little bones and joints that work with the muscles are what makes our bodies so flexible.  I'm sure that nobody would want to move as rigid as a robot.

  3. In order to support our bodies while also providing flexibility.
