Why do we have so many rain showers in April?

You don't state where you live so I will have to assume that it is Europe or North America.

At our latitudes, when spring comes, the air still lags behind in temperature while the sun is higher and warms much more the earth surface.

That creates greater temperature difference between the surface and the top of the troposphere. As warm air rises and when meeting steadily colder air, continue rising, it increases the chances for unstable weather where single cloud cells can develop to big cumulonimbus and even thunderstorms. Those are typically with intermittent showers and even hail.

Rainshowers associated with thunderstorms are common as the temperatures at the surface begin to warm and cold is pushed in over the warmers surfaces.   I have provided that is excellent that shows this and why.

Well, we're certainly having April showers here in London today.  Or should that be April 'downpours'?  Anyway, it's sunny again now, but the 'showers' are predicted to continue through to the end of the week.  Goody, means I am unable to mow the lawn...hurrah!

in some states it's cause we have what is called monsoons where if rains and rains every day.

I assume you're dealing with the northern hemisphere.  In which case, April is a month where typically the weather is moving from cold weather to warmer weather.  You can view the cold weather as a big blanket rolling up (getting warmer) or down (getting colder) from the north.  In April, that blanket is rolling up to the north taking the cold with it.  Moisture trapped and accumulated by the cold in the atmosphere and from the ground is released (things melt) and you get a great number of showers - April showers.

Global warming is disrupting the whole process though so don't be surprised if you start getting March showers instead.
