Why do we have to get married to have a baby?

You want the best possible life for a child and that means a steady environment.

And Marriage is supposed to help supply that.

They don't...however, being married and then having a baby does make many things easier in terms of having a family and how things like bills and insurance are handled.

People just mean you should make sure you are stable enough. Make sure you have a good job and can take care of a child. Usually you want to make sure you have a baby with someone you truly love and want to be with cause then the child can grow up with his dad. But its okay if your not married right away. Just dont have a kid and then breakup with your bf and then go out with another guy and have another baby. You know. Good luck!

You don't need to be married to have a baby, but it sure does make life a lot richer and better for the BABY if there is a loving, committed relationship between the mother and father.  If the man is afraid to get married, don't you think he would be afraid of the responsibility and commitment involved in raising a child????
