  1. I don't fully know the answer to that. I wish I did, because I have lived the majority of my life dealing with that very thing.

All we can do is endure and try to bear up the best we can. Lately I figure that as long as I'm truly trying to live my life, and not hiding, that at least I'm winning.... if I let the pain others caused me to defeat me, than they truly do win. If I fight through it and deal with it, and LIVE in spite of it, then I win. I also truly hope that God exists and that they pay for their crimes at the final judgment.

  2. You haven't explained what you mean by 'pain', Sarah.

People do not normally do things to deliberately cause pain, so you must be accepting what someone is doing and taking on the pain yourself. If you refuse to be affected by what they do, there will be no pain.

Incidentally, "Scot free" doesn't mean totally free at all. I don't know if it still exists, but there was a verdict a Scottish jury could come to in between 'guilty' and 'not guilty' called 'not proven' which didn't let the accused off at all, as (s)he could be re-tried.

  3. I have lived with that pain. It took me years to realize I allowed the pain. If you hold a baby and the baby hits you in the face, you laugh and don't even feel the pain.

But if someone you care about says something hurtful, we are crushed. It's how you react to things. You can cry or say to yourself, thanks for the lesson and stay away from that hurtful person. If you can't stay away, then change their words in your head to something pleasant. Some people have hurt me really bad and it seems like they got away scot free, but I would not want to trade places with them because they are cold, hurtful people. I get to live with a caring heart. They haven't yet. Thats their punishment. You can live happy or sad. It's your choose.
